It's a really interesting engine building game and looks amazing on the board with the 3D trees for it. It was also easy to learn, in a learning game with three players, think it took us under 2 hours, if you knew what you were doing, probably could get it down by 30 minutes. But I'd highly recommend this game, it's definitely an abstract game, but because of how they've themed some of the parts, it feels pretty thematic. There was a hilarious live journal post I remember reading long ago about the 500 things this guy (Mr. Glen) was no longer allowed to do in rpgs such as D&D and the like.
