The funny thing to remember with Wilson is that PHI had him on their staff last season.  When PHI decided to pass on Wilson and hire Desai for DC, Wilson left, and the PHI defense promptly collapsed.

I have fears about bringing in a great young motivational guy who is too out of his depth to run the show ala Drayton so I won’t feel too much either way until we see some interviews and more importantly the on field product from our new DC. I do think LaFluer has some more experience and gravitas after his years here and especially a year with no Rodgers. Early on I wanted him to hire only grizzled assistants as coordinators but think he can keep the ship steady now if a young up and comer gets brought in. It needs to be the right guy, though because DC will be the lightening rod if we start leaking yards and points.

He's a culture guy, but reportedly not an x's and o's guy.  He's more cut out for HC, plus I don't think he and LaFleur like each other.

I think Staley would be a big upgrade over Joe Barry,  Staley is actually a very sharp dude, but the HC gig was just too much to handle for him and didn't fit his personality at all.  Definitely not my first choice, but I wouldn't be sick about it.

I'm hoping Lafleur doesn't go with the devil we know and sticks with the Fangio style coaching tree. 

 

Give me a young, hungry and aggressive DC. Bonus points if he's a minority so we can collect 2 3rd rd picks when he leaves to become a HC after leading our defense from bottom 10 in the league to top 5 next year.

He may very well be smart, but man, every time I've heard him talk, he gives me serious Adam Gase vibes.

He's at the bottom of my wish list for acceptable DC's.

Agreed.  Tbh I thought either Weaver or Hewitt would go to SEA with him.  And this likely means that Orr will be promoted to DC in Baltimore. 

So we’re back to Parker?  I’d be good with that.

My Commanders buddy told me that he thinks their HC job is down to Quinn and Anthony Weaver.
