With the 57th pick of the draft, Tampa Bay GM Licht again makes Bowles a happy camper by selecting Michigan linebacker Junior Colson.

Licht re-signed Lavonte David for one more year but has very little else going in the LB room.  It's time to bring someone in who can play behind David and eventually next to him during the season.    So from a team needs standpoint, Colson is a great fit.  With his solid pass coverage skills, he can ultimately be a 3-down player and help the defense against TEs and speedy pass catching backs. Big upside and will contribute on Specials too.  95 tackles in 15 games for Michigan in '23. Voted Michigan's "Toughest Player" in 2023 as well.  Welcome to the Bucs, Junior.

With pick 59, the Houston Texans select TE Theo Johnson, the Penn State University

You thought we were done adding receiving weapons?  Nope.

Our goal is to get CJ more weapons to succeed.  Moreover, we hope to prevent a sophomore slump now that teams have more film on CJ.

We asked CJ about his old college TE and he said "Get Theo instead.  That dude is a monster."

Theo's combine just proved what we knew to be true: he just needs an elite QB to unleash him.

Yes, I chose Theo in another mock & there is a reason.... He's a MONSTA.

Welcome to Htown, Theo!
