Forge
Hello boys and girls! It's that time again! We get to draft! We are at nearly a decade now. This is now year 9 if you include the "what would you have done?" thread I started on the old board that was morphed into this fun game by Y2. For those who may be new, this is just a game that we have been playing during the NFL drafts where we have our own shadow draft in conjunction with the regular draft and save them for posterity. It's a lot of fun just to go back through and take a look. We encourage you to make selections as the draft is going on as it does make it a lot more fun and nerve-racking (nothing like drafting a guy right off in round 3 only to watch him slowly fall completely out of the draft and feel bad about it), but if you can't do it during the draft please feel free to post a version after the draft on who you would have taken at each spot!! Again, this is only for fun. Rules are fairly simple. You can only select those who have not been selected. When it comes to trades, you can take the real life trades the niners make and select accordingly, or not. No taking trades that came to other teams (say the 49ers pick at 31, and then the chiefs trade down from 32....you can't apply that trade to 31 and move down). Try to keep track of your picks in accordance with these decisions, though if you need help most of the people in here do pretty good work in keeping it all straight. I generally try to make a post where I talk about my thinking for each selection (didn't do it last year though) at the end, but its not required or anything. I think most people just like to put their picks in. Here are links to previous versions. Always fun to check out, though please ignore my very, very rough one that came about during covid lol. https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/172-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-pick-archives/ (2015 and 2016 - 2015 picks were basically mock drafts before the actual drafts, however) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/169-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-make-your-2017-picks-here/ (2017) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/9848-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2018-live-picks-thread/ (2018 live picks) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/10273-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2018-picks-thread/ (2018 post draft) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/18503-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2019-live-picks-thread/ (2019 live) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/18918-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-post-draft-make-your-picks-here/ (2019 post draft) https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/27469-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2020-edition/ https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/35785-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2021-edition/ https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/42691-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2022-edition/ https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/48784-are-you-smarter-than-an-nfl-gm-2023-edition/ Current 2023 selections: #31 #63 #94 #124 #132 #135 #176 #211 #215 #251
Forge
Don't forget about this! Also, if they trade Aiyuk, I'd say everyone just make the trade. I know nobody really wants to move him, so we'd all be doing that under protest, but it is what it is. But ultimately, it's up to you.
