How do you scheme against the Chiefs offense this year?

Imagine having to scheme against a 4.21 40, hall of fame TE, the guy with the second most routes over 20 mph, Rice across the middle and Pacheo running angry all game….and if it all breaks down Mahomes waddling up the sideline for 15 yards.

The short answer is to hit them. They are fast, but have little size. Play physical, get pressure.

Jam them at the line, leave at least 1 guy deep center field, LB Zone coverage with eyes on the backfield.

Same thing teams have been doing, to be honest. Conservative zone defenses, keep everything in front, and keep eyes on Mahomes and Kelce. Don't blitz or play man to man more than you have to. And then hope that you can tackle well enough to keep YAC at a minimum, and that you have the LBs instinctive enough to not look stupid against Kelce.

The right way to play right now, against us and most of the better offenses, is still to just force drives to take 10+ plays and go with the odds that at some point in there the offense will make a mistake. Worthy and Brown make it harder to do that, but shouldn't actually change the plan.

Jam at your own peril. You miss that Jam and Worthy or Brown are going over the top on your peeking safety.

If you have a decent secondary, it's not that hard. Sure you have to leave that safety back there the entire game, but neither Hollywood nor Worthy scare me besides their deep threat potential. Leaving the safety deep should be plenty to cover whichever one gets off the line a couple times a game.

Get an o-line coach in there to teach the DBs to block. Don't hold and as long as you keep them within 5 yards you can hit them as much as you like. lol

Cover 2’s been the QB stopper, one deep is asking for trouble

You pray for injures

do not think there is a secondary that will run with a 4.21

plus a 4.27

plus a 4.33

plus kelce and a excellent receiving running back

kc may break the points scored
