If you turn the car on and sit in the parking lot but never move it that isn't drunk driving. You are very clearly sleeping it off if you're parked somewhere and haven't moved.

I would advise anyone to sleep it off over drunk driving.  What you described in your statement is literally drunk driving by law, you would be at the mercy of the police officer that found you in such a state.  I would hope the person would not be charged but the city wants their cheese too, they would probably keep it off the record with a few thousand dollars worth of classes and legal fees they would be generous enough to let you pay.

It is poor judgement and terrible optics for anyone associated with the vikings to be drunk driving.  I do not see this affecting his roster spot, I was thinking that it would affect his next contract but... I am not sure it would affect the cash value of the contract but rather just give the teams outs based on behavior.

But if you pay someone sober to sit in the drivers seat while you nap in the back seat, that is legal.

Addison should never be allowed to drive a car again. He's clearly too dumb to learn.

Yeah, this is his 2nd vehicle related incident in two years - at this point, he's illustrating stupidity. And said stupidity is escalating.

I think it is his 2nd in 1 year. The last one was last summer when he was going 140mph in a 55 zone. I cannot stand people that endanger others for purely selfish reasons. Make him wait on Ubers for a year to learn that driving is a privilege. And if we are being honest, these are just the 2 times he was caught. He's probably done this several other times.

You think Vikings players would be a little more aware of the seriousness of drunk driving right now.

What an idiot.

We lead the league in consecutive Superbowl losses and amount of arrests.

It's an awful job, but somebody has to do it.

...And on a more serious note, Addison doesn't seem like a smart guy at all. I hope something (no pun intended) wakes him up and let's him flourish.

I’m usually not that big of a proponent for the league being the justice center for players off the field, but if I’m the Vikings, I am beyond fuming. I’d do what I can. Khyree Jackson was killed a week and a half ago. Imagine being this tone deaf? Not even his first incident, dude’s only a sophomore.

What an idiot. Hope the stupid tax hits him hard.

Seems like you're reaching on a lot of "vehicular" incidents. It's not like it's any less illegal if they had their marijuana in a duffel bag around their shoulder, y'know?

Considering the increased likelihood of said person driving while using marijuana with it present on them in their vehicle (committing some form of traffic violation in order to be pulled over and found with an illegal substance), I’d say it’s fair game to include them.

Even without a few of those marijuana possession incidents, we’re still looking at about 40 driving related crimes from WR’s and I didn’t list dozens of them from lesser known NFL WR’s.
