Stroud was also probably a fringe top 10 QB as a rookie. He looked flat out great and projects incredibly well into the future but I think a lot of people were confusing potential with current ability. The idea that people had Caleb/Jayden coming in and being a top QB off the bat was pretty laughable. It just almost never happens.
