AZ_Eaglesfan
Yeah, GB has to find someone to keep them afloat for a month. They can probably squeak by some of the teams on their schedule with a mediocre QB. I really don't think Malik Willis is getting it done though. SteelKing728
He could be placed on IR and be back for Week 6, right? That's not so bad. The Packers don't even care about playing good in September or October anyways.
August4th
GB could be a dangerous 7th seed..

My guess is Love will want to stay off the IR so he has the option to play sooner than that 4 week time he would miss if he went on IR. How he progresses this week will probably determine if GB chooses to go that route.
Soko
9 minutes ago, Soko said: 3-6 weeks is “we need a better backup” territory, IMO. The next 4-6 games are winnable with a backup, but they’re not gimme’s. Colts, Titans, Vikings, Rams, Cardinals, Texans, in order. Green Bay probably needs to, at worst, split those to stay in contention (3-4) because their next stretch of games is tough. Jaguars, Lions, Bears, 49ers, Dolphins, Lions, Seahawks, Saints, Vikings, Bears. 8 out of 10 games against teams that, IMO, have a decent shot at the playoffs. I don’t think Malik’s enough. Mesa_Titan
If they roll with Malik they're stupid. The smart play is to sign the other very serviceable ex-Titans QB that can play really well with a good line. Ryan Tannehill.
detfan782004
Enter Tom Brady. 😀 Glad it wasn't worse injury
Superduperman
I wouldn't just take it for granted that he'll be good as new in 3-6 weeks just like that.

Jalen Hurts sure wasn't. Then again no one was ever able to report "exactly what knee injury" occured week 6 vs the Jets? Excuse me, Jalen was fine never suffered any injury. The brace was just preventive maintenance. The lack of mobility an illusion. Edited September 7 by Nabbs4u

Damn GB has a pretty easy schedule this year. If your “rough stretch” includes teams like the Jags/Saints/Vikings/Bears you’ll take that going into the season all day
Louis Friend
I hear Nate Sudfeld is available.

If it’s the whole season, then yeah, Tannehill isn’t really a good plan. I just don't think there is a good back-up option period. Tannehill is four seasons removed from being good, and three from playing a full season himself. Last season he was throwing nearly twice as many INTs as TDs and 160 yards per game. We will probably get that from Willis for a fraction of the cost.
VigilantZombie
As injuries go to the knee, it's a favorable outcome in that he at least will return this season. Unfortunate no matter how you look at it that he was injured

vike daddy
There have been various reports about Love’s timeline for return. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media notes it could take three-to-six weeks for Love to come back. Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports it’s between a Grade 1 and Grade 2 MCL sprain, which will sideline Love for “a few weeks.” Rob Demovsky of ESPN reports the Packers hope it’s a three-to-four-week injury. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/jordan-love-suffered-mcl-injury-timeline-for-return-tbd
