Need some postgame analysis on this one. ST and some poor decisions really almost threw this game to the Texans who had no business winning.

D played really well.

Whelan and McManus did everything asked of them and a bit more.

Offense needs to stop with the self inflicted wounds and coach Rich better be on a tear this week.

Sometime you just need a win like this, although it wasn't really deserved.  Defense was pretty great most of the day .. offense was pretty bad most of the day .. special teams was mostly shaky, but Whelan hit some big bombs when it mattered.  Just get a the W.

I feel it would have been Houston wining that would have been undeserved. Our D was all over Stroud and what is supposedly a top offense in the League. Very dumb decisions and a few bad bounces damn near hand it to them but they didn’t come close to beating us today based on what they did.

I do agree sometimes you just need a game where you overcome whatever got you to the last drive but I’d take a dominant win that we could have had if we play smarter.

Love needs to understand that good D’s cover middle of the field well and stop force fitting those throws. We almost lost the game there on Fuxcking 1st down, when we have 3 more downs to play(just throw sidelines)

Matt L should design some plays to move him from pocket a bit against good pass rushing team and use sidelines well.

He has to be patient on 1st and 2nd downs and try not to get big chunks every damn play.

Matt L has to be get into his ear every week and coach him to play football to win in trenches.

Defense had Stroud in hell all game, especially on those 3rd downs. He did burn them with a big time play on 3rd down on their last drive but can't be nothing but impressed with Hafley and his staff today.

Love's INT's got to stop for this team and offense to finally take off, simple as that. Confidence is great for a young QB but he's been going far past that into recklessness far too much. Yeah he's got the arm talent to make all the throws, doesn't mean you need to force it all the time.

ST I expect nothing but at the very least can they avoid turning it over themselves. Love's INT's hurt but the ST turnover was probably the costliest one and the reason why it came down to a GW FG attempt.

Would enjoy seeing the Texans again in the SB. Would be a great matchup against another fun, young team.

Yeah, these close games were ones that we struggled with last year notably vs the Falcons, Broncos, Giants and 49ers in that 3 point or less margin.  We definitely needed to take that next step and get a game winning drive whether it was via TD or FG, and we did do that today.

Still though, Jordan Favre had too many crazy deep shots that he's gotta cool it on, and while we do finally have a kicker, special teams is still a major concern.
