Green19 Posted April 14, 2022 Share Posted April 14, 2022 they need bodies at WR, and they specifically need some veteran bodies if they are going to draft a WR or 2. Watkins is likely the best of bad options. Don’t see this signing stopping them from going out and trading for a guy or draft 2 guys high if they want to go that route. Evidently he was the one who would take it. Well went from critically desperate to just desperate. Maybe Watkins can stay healthy for a few games until we get the rookie WR's up to speed. Gute trying to plug a hole before the draft so he doesn't have to reach. Smart move as always maybe we'll get lucky with Watkins and he'll make it through a season. Makes a lot of sense for Watkins. Those who understand we used Tae's money to sign Rasul, Tonyan, Reed and two top 53 picks and thus are going to take a "Moneyball" approach to this WR core, should be happy about this.
