Divisional Round: Vikings vs. Saints, Week 19

To be fair with the stat above

GB game allowed 113 and 48 of them Came from Brett Huntley's 24 yard scramble. Total of 48 yards. Coldest game of the year where both teams pretty much just stuck to the run

Car game 216 allowed and we let up 2 long runs, on the road. Cam had a 62 yard run, and Stewart had a 60 yard run on the opening drive.

Falcons game we did struggle tho, 102. Also on the road, and Falcons seemed to go away from it with Freeman after playing from behind.

Most yards allowed at home was against the Lions: 97

Saints: 60

Bucs: 26

Packers: 72

Ravens: 64

Rams: 45

Bengals: 46

Bears: 30

Our away games we did end up struggling more against the run. Actually it was really any outdoor games.

I'm already sick of the "stat talk" for this game.

I could care less what happened in week 1 or what New Orleans did or didn't do against Carolina last week or what the Vikings did against the Packers in a -10 degree game.

It's week 19. It's going to be 70 degrees and purple inside U.S. Bank Stadium. The Vikings have been dominant in said conditions. That's all I care about.

just to add from a passing perspective, we didn't allow any 60 yard passes against us the entire season. we allowed two passes over 50 yards, the longest of which was a 52 yard completion to tommylee lewis on the saints (plus a DPI call on the play).

brees completed passes of 52, 27 and 24 yards against us so they did a good job of attacking us deep. EDIT: here's the video:

never understood why the press says QB's play, or beat, other QB's...

Drew Brees, as experienced as he is, will be playing against our defense. the #1 unit in the NFL.

Yea, and this is why we lose.  If Vikings shut down our run game, Brees won't be able to pick apart their defense like he did Carolina's.  Not because it's on the road, but because it's the number 1 defense in the league.  We're gonna have to run the ball a lot better to have a chance.

Meanwhile, our defense will most likely give up at least 20 points.

The defense is much stronger at home, definitely seems like they feed off the crowds energy.

Oh it is just a fun conversation starter to keep things going!
Fun to look at how we did this year.

It's the playoffs, regular season stats don't matter one bit.

Oh no of course. It was nothing against you.

Just sick of the "experts" on Twitter trying to prognosticate the game based off stats from 18 weeks ago.
