Is that a new rule? I remember Ruvell Martin scoring on a kick off once... maybe I am misremembering that it was a return....

Quote

A kickoff is illegal unless it travels 10 yards OR is touched by the receiving team. Once the ball is touched by the receiving team or has gone 10 yards, it is a free ball. Receivers may recover and advance. Kicking team may recover but NOT advance UNLESS receiver had possession and lost the ball.

The Steelers were lucky to even be in the game.

Now that I think about it, (I'm pretty sure it was preseason) Ruvell Martin was on the hands return team and the tackle attempt by the kicking team was horrible and he just ran for the TD.
