NFL Rumors:

It sounds like Jordan Howard's time in Chicago could be coming to an end. The Bears are having trade discussions surrounding the young running back, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.com

Schefter writes that “multiple teams” approached the Bears at the combine about trading for Howard, and that discussions are “ongoing.” There was trade speculation about Howard around this time last year, but the Bears ultimately shot down those rumors and said they were going to make Howard the "main guy" in their backfield. After another disappointing season, they’ve apparently changed their tune.

We heard last week that the Bears were shopping Howard, and it sounds like they’ve got some serious interest. Howard matched his career high with nine rushing touchdowns last season, but he wasn’t very efficient. He averaged just 3.7 yards per carry, down from 4.1 the year before. Neither number was anywhere near as good as his rookie season, when he averaged 5.2 yards per tote.

We heard yesterday that some Ravens players thought C.J. Mosley and Terrell Suggs could re-team in Arizona, and now there’s more smoke to that fire. The Cardinals are expected to make a big push for Mosley if the Ravens don’t lock him up before free agency starts. Mosley to the desert seems to be picking up some steam, and it makes sense. Mosley is still only 26, and would be a very nice pickup for this rebuilding Cardinals team.

I can't agree with their assessment that this years rookie WR class is underwhelming. I don't believe that's true at all.

It's not great as far as there's probably only one guy that goes top 20, but the depth of this class in rounds 2-5 is very strong.

GB has a #1 WR.  They need to find a consistent #2 and this draft has a group of WR that could fill the role.  Hakeem Butler, Harry, Samuel, Parris Campbell, AJ Brown, Marquise Brown, Whiteside, Harmon

Its those rounds 2-5 WR that make that underwheming statement not true to me. Theres some very good WRs to be had in those rounds and I dont doubt at least 2 of the WRs taken in those rounds will be legitimate #1's

Makes sense to me. Not enough QB draft talent to get to 15 - cost too much to move up into the top 5 or swap with AZ - and no FA out there....well, kills Keenum in talent. Who's the top guy? Teddy Bridgewater?

Colt McCoy. Always the Bridesmaid and never the Bride....for long at least.
Making a nice living at it at least.

Rapoport:

The Broncos and Redskins have agreed to terms on a trade to send QB Case Keenum to Washington for draft picks and with an adjusted contract, sources say. Broncos get Skins 6th, Washington get a 7th.

That was fairly painless.......

Except for Redskins fans.

Keenums nowhere near great - but he's not a bum and he's better (IMO) than McCoy or any of the available FAs.
Plus - the draft pick swap was an exchange of afterthoughts and with the contract restructure, he's cheap. DENs picking up half his salary.

Being better than McCoy isn’t exactly a compliment and Keenum isn’t taking them anywhere.  They’re prolly closer to a rebuild than the playoffs anyway so they prolly should’ve traded for Rosen.  So it’s not about the late rd pick swaps or finagling the money. It’s about an inept Bruce Allen and a coach who ain’t the one.
