I am surprised to see that Florida and California have surpassed Texas.  I am more surprised to see that Oklahoma isn't even among the green states.

Oklahoma really doesn't produced that many high-level athletes.  I mean, they get a few but not a ton.  I'd be more curious to see it on a per capita basis.

I just went and watched the youtube Bleacher Report live coverage of the draft. It seemed so much better to me, than ESPN or NFL.com.

The Bleacher team looking at the picks were Chris Simms, Matt Miller, Adam Lefkoe and newer guy Connor Rogers on the first two days and just Matt and Connor for rounds 4-7. They really seemed to know plenty about the guys picked, and had a very good knowledge of the situations within each team. Have a look (if you have several hours free).

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QSEgwD_dG2k      Day 2
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TksR_Abev0         Day 3

There were several things of interest in those broadcasts, relating to the players, the Packers and other teams. They really didn't like what they had heard about ESB, entitled was a word that kept cropping up, which is why he fell a far as he did. They liked all the first four picks and graded them accordingly, though they did point out WR Moore has some maturity issues (which I didn't know). They think the Pats are not that good at drafting - I always thought it was a (comparative) weak spot for Belichick myself, probably due to him having so much on his plate, he doesn't have the time for the scouting grind.

They liked Gutekunst, thought he was a proper football guy (ie not someone who cares more about his executive level, than the specific job he does). They hated the Bengals and Redskins front offices. Aked if the Saints would take a QB late, they mentioned that the Saints absolutely love Taysom Hill (grrrr   ex Packer). They had some love for Daniel Jeremiah - said he always seems to nail the Packers pick. Matt Miller also said who his top two scouts in the league were - Colts VPP Ed Dodds was the absolute top guy, followed by the gifted but alcoholism-battling ex 49ers GM and helper of several teams after that (currently the Browns), Scot McCloughan.

I thought the Tulsa area had some real tough teams.  It seemed pretty big time when my family was looking to move in the early-mid 90s.  We almost moved to Tulsa.  I also got the same impression from OKC.  And with two power 5 teams I figured it was bigger.  I know they recruit Texas very hard, I just figured there were more native Oklahomans in the fold.

Does this mean we have to watch DraftKings commercials every 3 minutes again?

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh you betcha! There's gonna be bets to put down throughout a game......and we'll be the captive audience.

Live updates on the odds during every commercial break is only a year or two away.

Ah the Lions, only NFCN team irrelevant enough that no teams in the division consider them a rival.

They're all Viking Fans. Of course they hate GB.

If i were a draftee I'd say please any team other than MN draft me and go full Eli refusing to play for MN. Then again, Perhaps I could do more damage sabotaging from within.

Man I hate the Vikings.

I hope the league doesnt allow it to become that blatant.

I'm guessing if the states start okaying the books there it'll be your local channel spots that are running it. Theoretically it should hurt daily fantasies market share and you'd see less of them and more just flat out casino commercials. IDK how much control the NFL has over local spots or if they even care. Once it's here it's here. They'll probably just start taking the money, it could be huge. Cash rules everything around me.

Thats probably right on target.

I really dont care. I wont be putting any money down on it (not for any aversion to gambling....) and dont pay all too much attention to commercials.
