They will retire "Slider", and replace him with a new character, "Mickey the Miser." I barely survived letting go of back to back cy young winner. At least we have a really good front office aside from the ownership. They’ve proven they can rebuild on the fly and find elite talent. That said, I'm considering this as a toxic relationship and I need a break. When they're competitive again and ready to make another run, I'll inevitably get suckered back into following them. Until then, my own personal boycott has started. No money is being spent on this owner/organization. He won't line his pockets off of me.
