I was having small headaches (which wasn't fun because I never get headaches) for a few months. My wife and I are the weird ones, because our plan is to move north when we retire. We're not sure where yet, but we spent time in Banff last year and plan to return there in the fall of 2023, but I hope to stop off in Vancouver, as I never got to go up there when I lived in Seattle. I've had raccoons, deer, possums, vultures, rabbits, and bob cats in my yard. All yummy treats for a big snake. As far as the pythons go, that wouldn't bother me because I used to have snakes for pets. I had a couple of burmese pythons and a few other varieties. It wasn't warm by any stretch of imagination, in fact we went up in the Calgary Tower when it was below zero (and it was in the teens when we went up on the Banff Gondola), but it wasn't terrible. I deal with cold weather a little bit better than my wife, since I grew up in MN, but the key is always just more layers. More layers equals more comfort. We'll be going up in the fall of 2023, so it should be a little warmer then. It's funny, the worst I ever felt anywhere was when I went to Florida in September...the humidity was awful, so much so that even when it rained, it made it worse and it just wore me out. 😂 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
