Now that this game is in the books, and we’ve had a live look in real season at our lineup, what moves - if any - should GB look at making this week?  It’s a discussion board, so let’s discuss.

Outside linebacker, outside linebacker, and outside linebacker.

Who do you recommend?

Whomever Gute, Pettine & the FO believe can come in to improve the position.

Fackrell is useless.

Clay would be much better playing a Chris Long type designated rusher role with minimal snaps.

Simon is a name that has been bandied about. I think Steven Means can rush the passer, but am uncertain if he can play the OLB role in this D.

If there are no candidates then we are just SOL for 2018 I guess.

True but it's been well documented how those guys, at least Matthews, feel about the EDGE depth. Earlier this year he basically said straight out the depth "isn't that good" or something to that effect.

Maybe Matthews was speaking of his own issues.  After all he wasn't that good last night.

Clay Matthews played 86% of the defensive snaps last night, Perry played 59%, and Gilbert 53%.

Fackrell played 4 of the 70 defensive snaps (6%).

These totals are interesting for several reasons.

First, there is no way Clay can continue to play so many snaps and be effective. We all saw how ineffective he was last evening and with his injury history and age, he will inevitably break down sooner rather than later at this rate.

Second, the Pack needs another OLBer to absorb some of these snaps and hopefully contribute on the field and it needs him now.

Third,  Reggie Gilbert, who played pretty well, is currently entrenched as, at worst, the third OLBer.

Fourth, the fact that Pettine only allowed Fackrell on the field for 4 plays reveals just what Junior thinks about him as a player.

Interesting notes.  I seriously have doubts that Fackrell could have played any worse than CMIII last night.
