I've already tried to help, numerous times.  I've posted tips and even posted videos.  I'm not sure what else to do.  If someone is bad at a game and can't do something that doesn't mean there's an issue with the game.

I think the issue is (and I feel like it's been pretty well established in this thread) is that you're competitive at Madden, talking to a lot of posters that primarily either play offline, or in smaller online franchises that still consist of predominantly CPU controlled teams. If you spent Madden 18 playing at the upper levels of online play, you're probably going to pick things up quicker. If you're going out of your way to get money plays and strats from youtube, you're certainly putting forth more effort than your average FF madden player. I'm probably somewhere in between. I played more online last year than I probably have in every other year of Madden combined (though admittedly, I'll never put forth the effort to be incredible at the game, as the whole run one formation or a few plays game after game sounds miserable, was pretty much ranging from 15-10 to 17-8 ever MUT weekend league). I got the game today, and am starting to figure out the run game. But if the vast majority of my Madden experience was offline or against the CPU, the run game is a massive adjustment from pretty much every other year of Madden. Acting like people are garbage for struggling with it after maybe a week just doesn't really help anyone.

And yes, the biggest thing to learn is to stop hitting R2. Which, for veteran offline players that have played the game for 10+ years, involves entirely retraining how you hold the controller and essentially do anything involving running the ball. It's a tough habit to break after 15 years of never really being penalized for holding turbo as soon as the back got the ball.

Agreed. It's still taking me adjusting. I just made sure my finger wasn't on R2 and just retrained myself to just run and only use it when I'm in the 2nd level.

Specialists in future versions of Madden could include inline vs receiving TEs.

Some multiple TE sets aren’t consistent with TE1 va TE2 it would be nice to just automatically put blocking TE into blocking roles and receiving TEs on the routes without having to manually adjust for each formation.

Im sure there are other examples of this. I like the feature, definitely something they should keep building on

Unfortunately that’s not something I can see in an update for this years game.

I'm still upset that your starting ILB in a 3-4 plays on Special Teams, and thus is almost always fatigued on defense from having to play on the kickoff team. That's something that should've been removed YEARS ago, and especially now that you have specialists.

I’m just glad I can consistently put Kamara in the slot. I got a realistic season from him (1700 yards as a full time starter in the slot and as a 3rd down/COP back. About 1k receiving and anouther 700 rushing) while simming.

never been able to do that in a madden game. Better late than never I suppose

What takes precedence, if he is first on depth chart as 3drb and slot?

Played my first game of Madden 19 on my Titans franchise yesterday. Can't tell if it's still just a crappy Titans pass playbook or if I'm god-awful, but I went roughly 55% completion for 92 yards and 1 TD (no INTs), most of which went to Corey Davis as the WR#2. The running game on the other hand, I was able to bust out an 80 yard touchdown run with Derrick Henry in the 2nd quarter (Was so satisfying seeing him break a tackle and then I manually stiff armed the safety), he had another huge 54 yard run (ran out of gas and safety caught him inside the 10), aside from that I felt the running game was fairly realistic, couple of times I'd get 3 yards or less, then get a 5-6 yard gain. Defense I'm still figuring out where I'd like to control a player, most likely on the DL. Feel like the linebackers are better off controlled by the AI, I do like safety on occasion but it's a bit more risky.

Did win 37-15 against the Dolphins. May have to test out some other playbooks or put in some practice time figuring out how to pass in Madden.

I’m not positive. I bump players around too much to know for sure lol.

If I had to guess it looks at who you have as your 2nd option in each spot and gives you the best personnel package based on overall

Slot takes precedence.

For example, if your WR3 and Slot WR are different, the slot WR will always play in 3 WR sets. Your WR3/CB3 is basically your first backup now.

I understand that, I'm asking if you have a guy like Kamara, and you have him as your number 1 slot, and your top 3rd down running back, what position does he line up in, if you come out in 11 personnel, on 3rd down?  Is it still the slot, and then your 2nd listed 3drb would be in the backfield?

OH, my bad, misread that sentence :(

Yeah I have no definitive answer on that

I've done some solo challenges.  They're not as bad as I thought they would be, but they are kind of boring.  One thing that I notice I don't do enough is run with my quarterback.  I almost never do it, even when I'm playing with Russell Wilson.  I really need to consciously keep in mind that I need to do it.

Mitch Trubisky is averaging 90 yards a game for me lol. (Meanwhile Jordan Howard’s getting about 17 yards and 2 ypc a game)
