Kyler Murray is 5'10, 180 and was a 5* QB Kliff was at his game a couple weeks ago and apparently liked what he saw. I'll trust the guy who has coached up Case Keenum, Johnny Manziel, Baker Mayfield, Patrick Mahomes, Davis Webb etc. over a simple H/W measurement. "Not sure why a kid with that talent would want to come to Tennessee, when the opportunity at Georgia and at Clemson is so much brighter. The loss of T Higgins and Amari Rogers last year was an indicator that Butch Ball isn't anything that talented receivers in the Knoxville area want to be a part of. Now we are looking at the loss of a kid that had been on most major college radars since middle school and I doubt anyone would fault a kid for wanting to be a part of an existing championship program instead of a has been like Tennessee. Currie really needs to step up and demonstrate to the fan base, to the potential recruits, and to the current recruiting class that he is committed to winning, not just to selling tickets, selling sweatshirts with a power T on the front, or just going through the motions since we are in the SEC. With Currie's mindset, we are destined to be the new doormat of the SEC and potentially the "Minnesota" of the Big 10." When you're reading a Tennessee thread and Minnesota just gets brutalized out of nowhere. Glorious. This is the saltiest one though. "I do not wish him the best. I hope he fails miserably at football. I guess there is no honor among thieves. Please stop using God as a shield to guard you from the ramifications. You have lied and hidden the truth for months, so apparently this has been brewing since before this season. I can promise you one thing, if my son is blessed enough to be good at football he will have exactly one choice, period. I’m over these egotistical spoiled kids. UT and its football tradition have likely done well by this family, and this is what the program gets back. Pretty sad." He is a EE, and yeah, that ongoing debacle killed any chance they had. Its just crazy because the kid will probably end up in Athens, and two months ago Kirby was finalizing our o-line numbers for the recruiting cycle, and Mays wasnt even being considered because he was a mortal lock in Knoxville. Cade's dad was the one that reached out to Georgia about a visit.
NateDawg
I don’t really consider OSU in the mix for Mays even if he has us in his 3. He wants to stay southern. Though UT isn’t in his 3, they could get back in it potentially based on who their coach is and the connection he could make. With that said, Clemson/UGA certainly out in front right now. Do you really think Tennessee will have a coach by the early signing period?

Plus we have a ton of great WRs still on the board/committed. I'm way late here, but I like that pick up for you guys. Definitely wouldn't have minded him at USC. Have to imagine Houston Griffith, Kwantel Raines, and AJ Lytton are on the list of possible direct replacements. Could also open a spot for Solomon Enis. devils1854
Sounds like Shea Patterson to Michigan is close to a done deal, and a waiver to play is 2018 is possible.

Going to be interesting to see how our QBs react if he does indeed get a wavier and ends up here.
