I badly want Oklahoma. They have a tiny front 7. Our offensive line and JK + Teague will maul them to death. Their biggest defensive linemen is barely 300 lbs in Gallimore.

Riley will help them score points, but that defense is getting destroyed.

dont forget, Day loves to embarrass former DCs that he had to work with a la Brown of Michigan. Day would light up that Oklahoma scheme

Not that it really means much but FAU is pounding UAB, Miami won, and UC is up early. It’s possible that we will have beaten three conference champs after today. Cool to see, if not meaningful. I guess if Wisconsin were to do the unthinkable later that would give us a 4th but let’s not go there.

If we win today, other than ESPN and people who listen to them. Who thinks LSU will jump us?

Hard to believe there was a time that undrafted  JTB was starting over both Haskins and Burrow.

He was a good college QB except for 1 or 2 games per year where he was a bad middle school QB. You just never knew when that game was going to happen and it kept us from being a playoff team every year he started. Well, the year he started when Braxton got hurt we snuck in and won the 1st playoff championship but that was in spite of him. We probably don't get in with a good game from him we needed that possibility of the greatest QB of all time in the unknown Jones and it worked well enough that year. More of an illusion than anything, I still would have preferred him start because at his worst he wasn't as bad as Barrett at his worst and we could win most games with mediocre QB play just not 7-24 for 118 yards and 3 picks like Barrett would do at times.

He was a productive college quarterback but always somebody that wasn’t going to win you big games against elite defenses that made you throw it. He was never going to win a title, so the Cardale situation was the perfect storm in 2014. Urban was overly loyal at times.

Perfect summary.

The highlight of his career was the comeback against Penn State and beating Michigan.
