Seriously, Kittle is going to get paid a ridiculous amount. But he's also a ridiculously talented player so he will deserve what he gets.

Only four days left until free agency non-officially officially begins. Can't wait!

Scary to think that his extension comes after next season

Why is it scary? Because it comes around the time Buckner will be extended?

And we may want to be active in free agency this year. I think it's going to be pretty easy for us to rip through that cap space moving forward, so we definitely need to make some big strides in the team progression department.

I see, really not all that worried. Cap will go up 10-12M, which will be around what Kittle extension will be. We just need more top players. Have a butt load of cap space and need to deliver with these signings. Also need to hit in the draft. But aside from Kittle/Buckner, who is our next big extension coming up? Really don't have any. Which is sad and good at the same time. Sad because it means either our draft picks have been terrible or completely f'd up and good that we won't be in any cap space trouble unless we just go crazy signing free agents. And next year we will be clearing a lot of cap from Sherman/Gould/Armstead being off the books or restructuring their deal. Unless Sherman has a Pro Bowl season, don't think he will be back with that contract. May need to reconstruct it a bit. Now, one downside is that Jimmy G's cap hit will go back up to 26M next year. But cap space will likely go up to around 200M, so he will only be taking 13% of the cap space which is nothing terrible.
