At that point, I'd look for us to let the "Hollywood Higgins" types go and start replacing them with mid round type draft picks to fill up the #3/#4 WR and other depth spots. I think we’d get more for Higgins as a comp pick than in a trade. Keep him for another year.

Right, that's exactly what I'm saying. We will let those types go, recoup comp picks, and reload with these comp picks and other depth selections. See: Ravens, Patriots, etc. on similar philosophies. candyman93
We signed Mekale McKay, WR from AAF. It’s a shame that league took such a nose dive. The NFL would benefit from a minor league. Hopefully they can pluck some guys from the XFL.

Tomahawk
The only way the NFL endorses a league like the AAF is if they have their hand in the honey pot as well.

Horseunit
figured this could go in here. Great article about the process leading up to the draft. I really enjoyed the read seeing as how the draft is one of my favorite events to study. There's a little bit about Dorsey knowing who he had to trade up above to get Patrick Mahomes and how leading up to last years draft news started breaking that Baker could be the Browns pick number 1 overall. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/04/23/nfl-draft-information-trade-media-adam-schefter-ian-rapoport-rick-gosselin

Don't necessarily say no but I don't think Gould would be the second-coming of Phil the Drill and think I would instead take a flyer on Gay in the draft.
