Raiders sign RB C.J. Anderson

Recommended Posts

Too bad we can’t sign any DE’s.

“Pass rushers are hard to find”

with Martin, Richard and Washington already going strong for us. it’s basically a why signing considering our defense is the most devoid of talent and zero pass rush.

I figured KC would be the one to sign him

I didn't really understand the link with KC. He offers nothing on Special Teams or the passing game, which a #3 RB should definitely offer (certainly Special Teams).

Martin and Washington suck.... can't hold on to the ball

??????????????????????????   He has actually held his own since beast mode went down. Highly doubt Anderson comes in and just lights the world on fire.

The only logical explanation is that Doug Martin is hurting.   Otherwise, yeah, strange signing.

Martin has a knee injury which explains why Anderson was signed.

Weird signing, tbh.

Considering the Raiders are eliminated from the postseason and competing for the 1st overall pick, why bring in a veteran right now?

I don't see why not bring in a veteran guy if you're basically waiting for the season to end and just need a guy to hand the ball to in the meantime.  It's not like you're bringing in a promising young draftee or anything at this point in the season.  Not really blocking anybody important to the future from getting tons of carries and experience.

Plus this, if Martin is dinged up obviously makes sense.
