After work, maybe. But Zimmer doesn’t strike me as a coach who makes work “fun”.

Vikes_Bolts1228
I'm excited to see what tweaks Zimmy Wimmy will have for the defense with a full week to focus on the team rather than an opponent. Harrison Smith at DT? Linval at CB? Rudolph at DE? Bailey at LB? Edited November 8, 2018 by Vikes_Bolts1228

swede700
Quote Which teams are most likely to hit the reset button for 2019? NFL Nation reporters took the temperature of the league, rating the job security of every head coach using the following scale: 5. Hot seat: Headed out if things don't turn around in the final four games 4. Warm seat: Not safe if the season ends up a disappointment 3. Lukewarm seat: Not under fire but not disaster-proof 2. Cool seat: Safe barring a total disaster 1. Cold seat: No way he'll get fired Rating 2: Cool seat The Vikings have gone through their fair share of ups and downs this season, but Zimmer's job won't be on the line, barring a major collapse over the next five games. http://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/25393438/rating-job-security-nfl-head-coaches-hot-seat-2018 Certainly not a surprise, but McDermott being on the cold seat, while Zimmer is only on the cool seat is kind of odd. He's still a long way off from being a 3. It would take 2 more seasons of similar play to this season to make it a 3. We can't ignore the fact that he has nearly a .600 winning percentage, which puts him 5th among all active coaches (behind Belichick, Tomlin, Reid and Payton). He's nowhere near a 3. In 2016, they lost to Philadelphia, Washington and Green Bay. In 2017, they lost to Pittsburgh and Carolina. swede700
Either way, I imagine that's not unique to Zimmer with this franchise.
