BrettFavre004
Had some fun making this, getting pretty trade happy in the first. Thursday morning announced the Redskins trade for Josh Rosen, giving up picks 15 and their 3rd, for Josh Rosen and pick 33 DRAFT 1 Cardinals - Kyler Murray 2 49ers - Nick Bosa ** Trade ** Giants move up from 6 to 3 to get Haskins before someone else moves up, Giants also give up their 2nd round pick. 10 of that last 11 QB's selected in the first round were traded up for. (Baker Mayfield only QB who was not traded up for and he went #1) 3 Giants - Dwayne Haskins 4 Raiders - Quinnen Williams 5 Buccaneers - Devin White 6 Jets - Jonah Williams ** Trade ** Atlanta trades up from 14 to 7 with Jacksonville, also giving up their 2nd. 7 Falcons - Ed Oliver 8 Lions - Josh Allen ** Trade ** Bengals move from 11 to 9 with the Bills and give their 3rd 9 Bengals - Drew Lock 10 Broncos - TJ Hockenson 11 Bills - Jawaan Taylor ** Trade ** Chiefs trade up from 29, also giving their 2020 1st round pick and pick 63, Packers also give back a 6th. (Chiefs move up big as the top tier edge market will start to end around here and teams like the Dolphins, Jaguars, Cardinals, Pathers and Giants coming up, they won't last. They have an extra 2nd rounder this year and an extra 2020 pick 2nd round pick from SF as well, so can justify the move, Andy Reid has been aggressive like this in the past) 12 Chiefs - Montez Sweat ** Trade ** Dolphins want to get some extra picks for next year, they give 13 and a 5th and they move back to 16 with Carolina and also get a 2020 2nd, Carolina also moving up to get the last top tier edge guy 13 Panthers - Clelin Ferrell 14 Jacksonville - Andre Dillard 15 Cardinals - DK Metcalf 16 Dolphins - Brian Burns 17 Giants - Dexter Lawrence 18 Vikings - Cody Ford 19 Titans - Christian Wilkins 20 Steelers - Devin Bush ** Trade ** Seattle wants more picks and trades with New England who gives picks 32 and 64 and a 6th 21 Patriots - Daniel Jones 22 Ravens - Rashan Gary 23 Texans - Garrett Bradbury 24 Raiders - Noah Fant 25 Eagles - Chauncey Gardner-Johnson 26 Colts - A.J. Brown 27 Raiders - Byron Murphy 28 Chargers - Dalton Risner 29 Packers - Chris Lindstrom https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/chris-lindstrom Elite athlete at the position, durable, checks every box 30 Packers - Juan Thornhill https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/juan-thornhill Another elite athlete, doesn't have the top end straight line speed, but has everything else in spades. Played a lot of box safety, but also in the slot and deep a lot too, makes for two fairly interchangeable, versatile safeties, which Pettine says he prefers. 31 Rams - Greedy Williams 32 Patriots - Nasir Adderley 33 Cardinals Jeffery Simmons 34 Colts Jerry Tillery 35 Raiders Josh Jacobs 36 49ers N'Keal Harry 37 Jets Hakeem Butler 38 Jaguars Chase Winovich 39 Buccaneers Marquise Brown 40 Bills Dre'Mont Jones 41 Broncos DeAndre Baker 42 Bengals Mack Wilson 43 Lions Kaleb McGary 44 Packers Amani Oruwariye https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/amani-oruwariye Might be my favorite CB relative to slot, scheme versatile, good in man, has the size and speed for it, good eyes for zone, active in the run game, can find the football, lot to like here. 45 Falcons Erik McCoy 46 Redskins Terry McLaurin 47 Panthers Irv Smith Jr. 48 Dolphins Elgton Jenkins 49 Browns Bobby Evans 50 Vikings Rock YaSin 51 Titans Kelvin Harmon 52 Steelers Johnathan Abram 53 Eagles David Montgomery 54 Texans Trayvon Mullen 55 Texans Charles Omenihu 56 Patriots Deionte Thompson 57 Eagles Zach Allen 58 Cowboys Darnell Savage 59 Colts Taylor Rapp 60 Chargers Greg Little 61 Chiefs Parris Campbell 62 Saints Julian Love 63 Packers Miles Sandershttps://thedraftnetwork.com/player/miles-sanders Very little miles on his tires being behind Saquan the last few years. Heavily involved in the passing game, lined up in the slot, very willing blocker. Has great shiftiness and patience. Just an all around solid talent. 75. Max Scharping (3rd Round)https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/max-scharping Double dipping early on the OL, big 6'6 320 athletic tackle. Adding a lot of talent here to the OL, along with Cole Madison adding in, best outlook we've had with our OL in a long time. ** Packers trade up to pick 80 giving their 4th and 5th 80. Dawson Knox (3rd Round)https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/dawson-knox Athletic TE at Ole Miss, above average blocker and willing, wasn't very active in the passing game and wasn't asked to run many routes, but raw and lots of potential, which makes this an ideal situation for him behind Graham and Lewis. ** PAckers trade up to the early 4th (102) with their 4th from Washington (118) and their 5th (150) 102. Max Crosby (4th Round)https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/maxx-crosby Kind of a big edge, elephant end type, another elite athlete, with good production at a small school. Huge ceiling, still with the speed and bend to get around the edge. 194. Alec Ingold (6th Round)https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/alec-ingold The Green Bay native comes home, sure handed runner, was frequently the guy carrying the ball late in the 4th quarter when WI was up. Up to about 245, awesome in the pass blocking game, and decent in the passing game, able to stretch LB's up the field. Has the size, strength and mentality to be a lead blocker, should be a regular on special teams. 226. Alize Mack (7th Round)https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/alize-mack Big athletic TE from Notre Dame, lines up inline, in the backfield, slot split outwide, great versatile TE for LaFleur's offense. Much more of a receiver than a blocker, very fluid route runner, but also isn't a bad blocker. Has some off the field red, academically ineligible and also suspended the following year in ND's bowl game. 3rd/4th round talent, IMO, red pushes him down and I think worth the risk here in the 7th. Leader
** Trade ** Chiefs trade up from 29, also giving their 2020 1st round pick and pick 63, Packers also give back a 6th. So we give up the highest draft pick we've had since who knows when to get the 2020 FRP of a team that was a play or two from the SB this year? Great. So unless KC falls flat on their face this year - we'll have secured another low 1st round draft pick in 2020. I get the concept of trading down - but only way this could seem prudent is if you feel theres no talent drop off from 12 - 29 - which I disagree with. cannondale
Did all of our Guards die in a plane crash or something ??
incognito_man
I'd be pretty disappointed with turning our best pick in a decade into borderline 1st round OG, mediocre RB prospect and likely a late 1st the following year.
Fl0nkerton
Thorny at 30 with all of those people on the board still would make me ralph.

Whose worst trait in the link provided is zone blocking no less. I can't comprehend the Guard fetish all of the sudden

squire12
Picking 31 and 32 in the 2020 draft would be nice.
jleisher
Very, very, very different. Sorry, not a fan of this mock. Like Lindstrom and Thornhill, but not at those spots, IMO, which doesn't mean much. Thanks for effort.
hitnhope
Appreciate the effort, but this might be the worst approach possible for the reasons listed already. I would look at this draft as a complete fail. We wind up with a list of uninspiring players at low impact positions. I can't really figure out where this makes us much better. Lindstrom is a nice player at a very low impact position that we already have like 5 candidates for playing time. Do you really think the Packer leadership has given up on last years picks already? 2nd round CB to compete with last years 2nd round CB pick? Two premium picks at Db for 3 of the last 4 years? No defensive players for the front 7 until round 4 when it is the strength of the draft?
MantyWrestler
No offense but I hate the top half. I like the bottom of the draft better than the top.
pacman5252
Depends on how the board shapes up but I personally don’t want us to trade out of a top 15 talent for more second round talents. I know we need more bodies, but at some point core talent trumps. I get flashes back to 09 and fans being upset we gave up 3 2s to get Clay. I know seconds can be awesome, but typically top 12-15 picks turn out to be core impact guys.
Packerraymond
Respect the effort but that trade down is brutal, then using it to take a guard only prospect with out first pick and I may sit out days 2 and 3.
VegasDan
Not sure I like the trade either, but as it worked out, had you taken Simmons instead of Lindstrom, I would have called the whole draft a huge success.
