My statement still holds and is still very much valid, some swears and a middle finger do not an Attitude Era make. We're likely going back to some of the early/mid 2000's stuff, which wasn't as bad as people want to make it out to be and would still be an improvement over what we had been getting. This might be an unpopular opinion but I think I generally preferred early 2000's WWE over the Attitude Era.

Troy Brown
Figures the only segment I watched on RAW was Mike Bennett/Maria getting some whacky program. FIGURES.

If we're talking about the full length of shows, in terms of quality from start to finish, I'd agree with that opinion. Attitude Era had great main events and main event feuds, occasionally a memorable mid-card feud, and a whole lot of dreck that people have conveniently forgot - which is understandable because the talent were literally getting the same amount of time as the last incarnation of the "Divas" were on cards. More to my point made earlier, I think we're probably looking at a case where the quality of the shows definitely improve and are more watchable, but the booking decisions (in terms of who gets the big pushes and what not) are still going to ultimately be Vince getting what he wants if he's decided he wants something or someone in the spotlight, i.e. Roman in the Cena/Hunter role. Which, honestly, if he's written for properly and well enough, I have no problem with him being "the guy."

Pretty sure that's an area where Steph actually would put her foot down with her dad (and Hunter, too).

Believe it or not, people can actually evolve. I highly doubt that a mother of 3 daughters is going to be going on Howard Stern talking about her sex life the same was she was during the AE.

They pull those stunts and the stock rises cause youth starts flowing back in and spending money. You gonna tell me she cares? Plus, I think shed be fine doing whatever so long as its not forced on anyone regardless. Torrie wanted to do Playboy, and Steph supported her choice. Torrie Dawn and others liked doing bikini showdowns and playing to the crowd like that. If they dont mind putting themselves out there like that if asked. I cant see Steph personally caring what other people do with their bodies.

I'm not even saying this from what you'll probably perceive as a SJW stance (even though it's not), I'm saying this from a realist standpoint... it ain't happening. It's a totally different climate nowadays. The business, at least the part of it that's actually serious (and it's not just WWE) has moved past this stuff. Up until this past year, they were freezing Chyna out of the HOF because she did porn. They just spent more than a year push (and making it beyond apparent that they were) an agenda that the women were in-ring competitors on the level with the men. They're not going back to objectifying them. It's not the successful business model that it once was.
tom cody
We're never getting the Attitude Era back. Still if they can come up with compelling storylines and give everyone on the roster a role then I'd be happy.
biggio7
It doesn't matter if the Attitude Era comes back or not. The characters they had during that time was the peak and I don't think that could be matched. They could come close but I don't think it would be matched. People should stop trying to make it a thing.

Theres a host of reasons, some like you said, that are reasons other than Steph putting her foot down.
buddy_z34
Attitude Era is not coming back. Are they going to stop pandering to kids and start giving their main audience a better wrestling show? Yes.
PARROTHEAD
Loving ZSJs heel run. A heel that can win constantly and win convincingly. Which is my main beef with WWE recently.
