175 - 436 point differential

All Rams QBs combined: 312 / 543 (57.5% completion), 2970 yards (5.47 combined ypa), 12 TDs, 21 INTs

*These passing totals generously include a 36 yard touchdown thrown by kicker josh brown on his only throwing attempt of the season

Leading receiver - Donny Avery with 47 catches for 589 yards and 5 TDs

Josh Brown attempted 16 PATs all season

Defense recorded 6 total INTs on the season

Offense ranked 32nd in points and 29th in yards

Defense ranked 31st in points and 29th in yards

3rd down conversion rate ranked 28th (32.3%), 3rd down conversion rate allowed defensively ranked 29th (43.5%)

Red zone offense ranked 31st, red zone defense ranked 29th

Their only win came over the 2-14 Lions by a score of 17-10

Only bright spot on the entire team was Stephen Jackson rushing for 1400 yards on 4.4 ypc (only 4 TDs though, but not really his fault)

They only scored 175 pts all year? That's like two games for Mahomes.

Yeah the 1991 Colts were worse offensively with only 143 total points for the season, but defensively they weren’t quite as bad.  Only ranked 20th in yards and part of that was because their offense couldn’t sustain a drive to keep them off the field

Now I do think they might have a case for worst offense of all time.  They ranked 8th in passing attempts but 2nd to last in the league in passing yardage.  They threw it 512 times for a total of 2579 yards (4.5 ypa), and ranked dead last in rushing yards

I truly believe if you take hue Jackson off of the 0-16 browns, they win at least 1 game.

Another team that deserves to be in this conversation is the 1990 Patriots.

Scored: 181 Points

Allowed: 446 points

Point Differential: - 265

Finished 1-15.

The fact that the Lions went 0-16 with Megatron speaks to how bad the rest of the team was.

I'm pretty sure that at one point in the lions game we were up 3-2 after James Bulter(?) Intercepted a pass then ran back into the endzone. I thought that would've been a perfect final score. The 09 Rams probably were the worst, didn't help that Spags was way in over his head.

Also, the Rams went 3-13, 2-14, then 1-15 in consecutive years.... so there's that...

It was really the defensive side of the ball though that was so depleted.  They had a decent quarterback in Kitna before he got injured in Week 5 and knocked out for the season, and they also traded Roy Williams a quarter into the season

Give that team an average QB and an average coach and they win 5 games easily imo. As far as HC/QB combination Kizer and Hue might be the worst ever. 4 of their first 7 losses were by 3 points. That with Hue and a QB who was just over 50% completions and had a 1/2 TD to INT ratio and every red zone pass he made seemed to be a pick. Kizer wasn't any better in year 2 with the Packers while he was in there.

Unless you actually remember that season and have enough of a clue to realize stats don't tell the whole story to put it mildly. They were competitive in many games that year.

I'm not sure who the worst was, assuming it's even possible for one team to stand out above the others, but the 76 Bucs have to be on the short list. Incredibly, laughably bad.
