Tetsujin
I always thought it was interesting how QB's get tethered to each other on Draft Day, for whatever reason, and it lasts for the duration of their career. P. Manning-R. Leaf A. Rogers-A. Smith P. Rivers-E. Manning J. Winston-M. Mariota K. Murray-J. Rosen RGIII-A. Luck RGIII-K. Cousins J. Allen-S. Darnold D. Jones-D. Haskins J. Goff-C. Wentz P. Mahomes-D. Watson Any more, especially from the 90's?

Vince Young-Matt Leinart although with short careers, they were tethered. Flacco-Ryan Bridgewater-Carr
ET80
Drew Bledsoe and Rick Mirer comes to mind.

The Browns went against conventional wisdom and took Baker over Sam. It’s the real battle from that draft.
Dome
Not a draft day tethering, but lots of people like to compare Brees and Marino.

I'd say no, because Allen and Darnold went to the same division. Plus, Baker looked so good in Year One, he's currently untethered to the other 2. tom cody
Maybe Mcnabb and Couch from 1999? Couch ended up busting for the expansion Browns team while Mcnabb ended up having up a pretty good career.

Add Akili Smith to that group - man, that class really did not live up to expectations.

Just underscores the fact that the team means just as much to a QB busting as the player. Couch was actually pretty good, but the Browns were an unstable mess (as opposed to the rock of consistency that we are now lol). I do think Couch would've been good on a different team. McNabb had the good fortune of being with a much better organization. Some young QB's are good enough to overcome instability in their teams, but most are not. I don't think Akili Smith would've been good anywhere, by the way.
SkippyX
The GoaT and the goat farmer Don't forget Trubisky taken ahead of Mahomes and Watson. Its weird that Foles and Wilson don't really get associated with RG3 and Luck.

Couch, McNabb, Smith, Culpepper, and Cade McNown all taken in the top 12 3 horrible QBs 1 guy who had 3 very good regular seasons 1 guy who had a hall of almost very good regular season career while being an absolute anchor in the playoffs.
