Anyone remember when Miami drafted Pat White in the 2nd round? (2008-2009 I believe it was)

Wasn't he drafted specifically for his Wildcat abilities? Don't remember him attempting that many passes in the NFL.

Wow good one...He finished his career with 0 completions in 5 pass attempts.

Who's the best NFL coach that was also a good player? LeBeau?

Tom Flores was a good not great AFL QB ((he had 3 very good seasons)

Ditka was a hall of fame player and won a Super Bowl as a coach.

If you are just talking about current guys, Reich has the biggest comeback in college football history and in NFL playoff history.

  • 31-0 Miami turned into 42-40 Maryland over Miami
  • 35-3 Houston turned into 41-38 Bills over Oilers

LaBeau wins though as a Hall of Fame DB AND a Hall of Fame level coordinator.

  • Going to 5 SBs as a DC and winning 2 of them is not too shabby.

The longer Ditka clings to life and continues to open his mouth, the more I get the sense that he was just a guy who liked to yell a lot and Buddy Ryan did most of the real work that won them that Super Bowl.

Wow......didn't realise it was that poor.

And only 21 rushing attempts. What were they thinking?

They brought him in for his wildcat abilities and didn't even use him much in that way lol

Combine Carmazzi with Druckenmiller and you have a team setup for the Mike Singletary/Nolan Era.

We should start a list of the highest drafted NFL QBs to never complete a regular season pass:

I only went back to the merger.

  • 30 Gary Beban
  • 37 Gene Bradley
  • 44 Pat White
  • 51 Hackenberg
  • 56 Gary Davis
  • 65 Giovanni Carmazzi (The GoaT... Farmer)
  • 75 Garrett Grayson

Recent Chief candidates:

Tyler Palko was a 9 year old Tim Tebow playing in the NFL. Nuff said.

Honorable mention: Brodie Croyle who I defended ridiculously and thought had tons of potential but couldn't complete a 2 yard pass without trading paint between the football and receiver aka every pass was a fastball.

0-10 as a starter.

I'll say he probably is.

When you consider the level of hype he got after his freshman year from many, it's quite the fall from stardom.

There have been others, for sure, but Hackenberg even bombed in the AAF. We didn't get to see most of the other QBs I could think of play in minor leagues that I can remember. But we saw Hackenberg stink it up. That's pretty bad. The guy was once a "next big thing" and doesn't resemble a D-II starter anymore. So, yeah, it's very possible he's the worst "professional quarterback" we've seen.
