Here is why Palmer went in the ring of honor:

The Cardinals have had 9 seasons with 10+ wins in 99 years.

  • Palmer had 3 in a row in Arizona.
    • 10-6
    • 6-0 in an 11-5 season (5-5 from the other dudes)
    • 13-3

The Cardinals have 7 franchise playoff wins (Warner 4, Plummer 1, Palmer 1, and a 1947 dude who does not deserve to be named. (look it up if you want))

Palmer is 4th in TDs and yards and 2nd in rating in Cardinals history.

The Cardinals ring of honor is not exactly the Steelers or Cowboys ring of honor, but Carson Palmer does belong in it.

It probably also helps that Palmer hates Cincy (or at least Mike Brown) so he is a Hall of Very Good QB who is 100% Cardinal in his loyalty.

Strange that he made it before Terry Metcalf. Their Ring of Honor has been around since 2006.

Are the Redskins really gonna expose Haskins against the Patriots next week? They should start Keenum.

That's who New England plays next week? Man, they've had such an easy start when it comes to the QBs they've had to face.

Are the bucs about to blow it despite being spotted 21 points by Goff to start the game?

14... they had the ball to start the game, Goff had nothing to do with the defense giving up the first score.

Marketing ---There are not many 50+ year olds from St Louis who go to home games in Arizona.

Metcalf had a spectacular 5 year Cardinals career in the '70s but it means very little to the fans who appreciate a ring of honor.
