Wait so people are saying "its the Pats so trust this move". They gave a 2nd round pick for a receiver in his 30's instead of getting oline help to protect their 42yr old QB. Why not blast the Pats for this move? Hahaha.

Because we have our 1st round OLer due back soon, and there may not have been one available. And people ARE blasting this. SOME people are giving us a pass because, well, we make things work.

sanu is a steady, reliable player who should help the pats. hes not going to break any big plays but he'll get open and catch the ball. He clearly was going to be cut this offseason due to cap reasons (not because he wasnt valuable) so the falcons did really well here. Hes not worth a 2nd, i get why the pats did it but an overpay is still that.

Ok. So like I said, it's impressive but they had the division and a first round bye wrapped up before the 2018 season even started. Same as 2019, 2020...

Yeah, because they're good. They would be good in ANY division.

New England's record against eventual division winners (24-14) makes them the only team in the NFL with a winning record in this category. Against teams who eventually made the playoffs in a given season, the Patriots (60-33, .645) are the best in the league, with the Steelers at a not-so-close second with a .480 winning percentage.

Their success against teams who finished with a winning record (75-45, .625) is also an NFL-best mark, with the Steelers trailing by a considerable margin at a .440 winning percentage.

This high of a trade means either Gordon is injured worse then we thought or Harry just cant get a hold of the pro level playbook. You dont go out and dump a 2nd if you know Harry and Gordon are both coming back ready to play. As for Sanu he is dependable and they are clearly trying to focus on winning now and not really in the future by giving up such a high pick for a 30+ year old wide receiver.

Sounds like Harry might not be the guy they choose to bring back off of IR. Devlin and Wynn are more important and now they just filled a need at WR. Seems like a good move from that standpoint as well.

Gordon hasn't been good, Harry is unknown. We have undrafted WRs out there currently. This isn't a cryptic move - we needed a better receiver out there

They will still bring back Harry. Lack of TE will force 4 WR sets
