Howler
So there are big rumblings, given the jet's ridiculous ineptitude. He's should get fired if they lose to Miami. The Johnsons will be so embarrassed that they will be forced to do something. https://www.espn.com/blog/new-york-jets/post/_/id/81366/adam-gases-big-problem-jets-locker-room-losing-faith-as-rock-bottom-nears https://nypost.com/2019/10/28/adam-gase-torched-by-boomer-esiason-in-wfan-rant/ Edited October 28, 2019 by Howler
Hunter2_1
Won 24 games, lost 25 by double digit scores. He's a joke. His job security should be cigarette paper thin.
Emerica
Yeah he's a one and done. Seemed like a weird fit at the time, bad hire all around.

Quote “What I do want to discuss is what the hell they’re going to do with Sam Darnold,” Esiason said. “Because (Sunday), while he wasn’t as ghastly, ghostly of a disaster like he was on Monday night, he still just arbitrarily throwing the ball up with no rhyme or reason and that’s a scary thing. He’s already in Jameis Winston territory.”
Trentwannabe
They'll have to weight their options. What hurts Sam Darnolds progress more? A) Keeping Adam Gase as HC who sucks B) Darnold being on his 3rd HC/OC in as many years with no guarantees it is the right selection either. Looks like a no-win situation at the moment.

Jesus, talking about dodging a bullet!!! Hopefully Joe Douglas has the Authority to bring in HIS HC or it's taken out of his hands all together and doesn't feel obligated to stick with Gase out of obligation because Gase helped him get his? Dudes a joke!

Bolts223
I mean all logic says he should be fired. But at the same time it was incredibly stupid for the Jets to hire him in the first place. So who knows.

NJerseypaint
Jet's are stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand, Gase is working with the worst OL in the league. You can draw up all the plays you want, but if your QB can't complete a 3-step drop without getting hit from both ends and your run blocking is non-existent, then all those play calls are worthless. Not to mention facing the two of the best defenses in the league and having to start Luke Falk for our most winnable games. On the other, great coaches make do. We aren't just losing - we are being embarrassed. A better coach beats the Bills and the Jags. His resume is lacking too. I honestly don't care either way. We still need another year to acquire missing pieces and see what we have, so he might as well stay on. A new HC isn't going to suddenly heal our players and improve our talent.

Thelonebillsfan
They never should have hired him in the first place, probably damaged Darnold's potential development significantly by doing so. But the Johnson's are awful and have been awful since they purchased the franchise so it's not surprising.
GangGreen420
He’s trash. There’s like 1-2 Jets fans that support him. Im 100% behind firing him tomorrow to be honest. He’s ruining Darnold.
