Biggest FA bust so far

Lev Bell wins this easy. His 4.0 yards per touch this year is the same as Trent Richardson's career average.

He has a top 3 salary and his numbers are pathetic.

  • 46th in yards per carry
  • 25th in yards per game
  • T-51st in rushing TDs
  • 12th in carries but 20th in rushing yards
  • leads the league in crying about usage while doing nothing

All the evidence was there that he was just a product of the Pittsburgh system and O-line but the Jets were Gettleman smart.

All those pat players are garbage once they leave though. What’s the last best NE fA?? Lawyer Milloy? You probably don’t even remember that name! You probably started being a pats fan after 2012 . I just don’t know why teams go after their coaches or players. Years and years of proof of them

being garbage it’s unreal. Even Richard Seymour was garbage in Oakland. Jamie Collins in Clev. Over and over and over. Insanity breh.

Richard Seymour was towards the end of his career when he left, but he was good in Oakland and deservedly made two pro bowls. He wasn’t prime Seymour, as he was in his 30s, but he was solid and even had some sacks despite that not being his game.

Lawyer Milloy was very good after he left.

Ty Law lead the league in interceptions after he left NE.

Jones is a beast in Arizona.

Logan Mankins made a pro bowl in Tampa.

Yeah, with the exception of Jones, those guys were all towards the ends of the careers when they left, but they continued to play well.

they are of course examples of players who never did anything in New England and then established themselves elsewhere. The Patriots litany of second round DBs who never did anything for them, who are then got snaps for other teams (Cyrus Jones, Duke Dawson, Tavon Wilson).

Remember the Jets fans who thought they could unload him prior to the trade deadline? lol

Come on now. Let's not pretend that this is all on Bell and that the Jets team as a whole isn't a tire fire.

Put Bell in a competent offense and his numbers will be just fine again.

Leveon is still great.  He has Adam Gase destroying him and a ol that is gonna replace 5 starters by next year.

Bell breaks 5 tackles to get 2 yards. The Steelers tried trading fir him back, but the jets wanted too much for him plus his contract.

If the jets fire gase, rebuild the ol, he will look great next season.

Despite that, Bell has been very mature and a team leader. Gase is gonna be fired, hes been a trainwreck here

This seems like the perfect example to see which people rely way too much on stats.

Fun Facts about the obj trade Dexter Lawrence has an 80.8 pff grade plus Giants got Peppers and a 3rd.

OBJs pff grade is a 71.2 range. I know a lot of factors that go into this number but with the 2020 draft being loaded a wrs it was literally a checkers move.

OBJ just turned 27 has a peak of like 4 years left and a loadedeeee wr class is on the horizon fire yourself John Dorsey.

Le'Veon Bell is definitely not the biggest bust.

The New York Jets however very well may be. First they hire a guy that shouldnt be a HC in the first place, they fire the GM and give that HC full control, they fail to admit their OL sucks and do nothing to address it, and sign a guy that, while has the ability to make things happen on his own, is best suited for a team with a strong run blocking OL or AT THE VERY LEAST a good balance of run and pass.

Sam Darnold could be an answer, maybe it's too early to tell.

The Wide Receivers for the Jets if we are being honest arent really that good. They're not without talent, but to me, nothing really sticks out either.

Bell joined a team that wasnt set up to succeed.

You're not wrong. The Giants will have saved a ridiculous amount of money and gotten at least 1 good player and a decent puck out of it.

Idk how good Peppers really is, but if he can develop that's a former first round pick.
