My guess is that Pickle was trying to lay some sort of trap with the unbolded Rags name, and when I didn't fall for it and flip votes, he started to doubt himself on the lynch since only one of us would have been lynched at the time. It was probably the right play, though I think it would have read off better had he started with that. It came off weird that he wouldn't let me kill myself because of a town loss, and then wanted to go with a double lynch. But he was right.
