grubs10 Posted March 27, 2018 Share Posted March 27, 2018 I'm blown away the Pitt didn't Pitt this coaching search up and actually came away with a guy like Capel. Only 43 years old, head coaching experience in a power five conference, spent the past 7 years under arguably the best coach in College basketball, and has been lauded as being huge in Duke's recruiting since he got there. Of course it will blow up in Pitts face somehow down the road but I am surprised we didn't end up with the coach from Buffalo or something. My guess is Coach K unexpectedly retires next year and Capel ends up back there somehow after a promising first year at Pitt. Then we will Pitt it up with the next hire.
