I’m sure they agreed to compensation, but just a one year contract.  If he’s totally in over his head, they move on.  If he’s a solid coach, he’s going to get a pay day from Michigan or someone else.  

Really, the risk of this is on both sides, but more with Moore than Michigan.

Lots of guys leave for the NFL early.  No surprise anymore, but Athens is also quite a ways from Atlanta or most other large cities in Georgia.  It’s surrounded by at least an hour of farm land in all directions.  No excuse for doing stupid things though, but it’s not like there’s a lot going on to keep players out of trouble.
