PFF discussed which positions groups are the strongest in the draft:

If you are trying to read tea leaves, this might be why we went (relatively) hard after DT and Safety in FA. I wouldn’t bank on anything before #99 at those positions.

I fully expect us to ignore DT this year because of how weak this class is. As you know, I like a few of the 1T guys, and nearly all of them are likely day 3 picks.

This is a draft to build up CBs and O-line and sprinkle in a WR if it’s feasible. If we’re lucky enough to land Moehrig or Grant, it’ll be a huge bonus. It’s also why a said some weeks ago that it’s entirely possible for us to go CB in Round 1 and Safety in Round 2.

If I had to bet right now, #10 and #44 will be some combo of CB and OL.

I also think the class falls off a cliff somewhere between #44 and #75, so I won’t be surprised if they try to maneuver into the late 50s or early 60s with their 3rd round pick.

Let me ask this...if we picked 6th overall. Would that change you list at all?

I think that would move CBs lower and I'd almost certainly want a trade down.

In the event I didn't get a trade down I think I'd be just pitts and sewell or bust.

It wouldn’t change my order. I’m open to trading down in any event, but I’d have a tough time moving away from Sewell or Pitts.

I kinda noticed this when seeing who should be available at 75... I really wasn't happy unless you wanted a WR at that spot. I wouldn't mind at all trading down from 75 to say 60's depending upon cost.

But right now with adding Basham URban, Neal and Kazee I feel much better about our D going forward.   My wishlish

CB one of  Surtain Campbell Horn   would live with Farley...

LB one of  Davis, Botlon, Browning, Cox I like Parsons but ....

DT one of  Barmore Shelvin Tuipuloto Wilson McNeil Slaton

OT one of Slater Banks Hudson LIttle Eichenberg

revised.. based on should be available when we pick...

10 Surtain cb

44 Davis LB

75 Banks OL

99 Ford S

115 Wilson DL

138 Little OL.

if we have to take pitts...

10 Pitts TE

44 Joseph DB

75 Browning LB

99 Ford S

115 Wilson DL

138 Little OL

I like the size of Ford over Washington and both are good in coverage..

Paris Ford should be taken off of everyone’s board. He’s really not an NFL level/calibre player.

That’s where I think we’re headed as well. CB at 10, and OT or OG at 44. The only way I think that changes is if Pitts somehow falls to 10 or if a first round graded player falls to 44.

that may be, I am no way an expert on how good Ford is or Washington for that matter but Washington's size is a big red flag for me especially in the safety position. AT 5'8" I don't see how he can effectively play down field.

We won’t take either player. But Washington is a solid NFL prospect. Ford is not.

Love a lot of these players, but we better sign a CB to start opposite Diggs if Kelvin Joseph is our draft solution.
