It’ll still be a very solid pick though. I think you’ll get an EDGE in the 2nd. Personally, have you selecting Payton Turner out of Houston. Pass on Turner. 10.5 tfl his last year and half of those were against Tulane.

Nextyearfordaboyz
A few draft takes I’ve settled on that are counter to the consensus: 1. Jevon Holland > Richie Grant by quite a bit. 2. It’s not really discussed enough how bad this DT class is. Neville Gallimore would be my DT2 or DT3. 3. Jaylen Waddle is going to be the player we most regret passing on. 4. NFL was wrong / Draft Twitter was right prospects: Nick Bolton, Alim McNeill, Paulson Adebo. 5. Speaking of Adebo, he’ll be a top-6 corner to come out of this draft. 6. Dillon Radunz is going to be a Pro Bowler. 7. The talent pool falls off a cliff around #15 and again around #70. 8. Divine Deablo is a top 50-ish player in this draft. 9. If JOK were branded as a safety, he’s be off the board in the top-10. 10. Kyle Pitts or Penei Sewell will be a Dallas Cowboy.

By a lot. Holland is the second best Safety in the class at worst. 2. Agree that Gallimore would be DT3 in this draft. 3. Especially if he lands in NY or Philly. 4. McNeill will make multiple Pro Bowls if he’s used as a 4-3 NT. 5. That’s fair. 6. I think he sneaks into the 1st round. 7. No doubt. 8. Top 50? I’m not sure about that. But definitely Top 100. 9. Without a doubt. And, I think he’ll be a SS in the NFL. 10. If Pitts becomes a Cowboy, it’s because we’d be trading up, which would suck.

Holland is going to be a stud. Reminds me of a smaller Darren Woodson with his versatility. Adebo is my 3rd favourite CB in this class. Would love Pitts or Sewell and would contemplate a small trade up if they start to drop.

Haha, good, you weren’t supposed to agree with all 10! I love the guy. He’s Kam’s athletic twin. Let him learn from Neal for a year, then prosper, IMO. I really want him on Dallas. 1 hour ago, plan9misfit said: 10. If Pitts becomes a Cowboy, it’s because we’d be trading up, which would suck. IMO, it takes significantly less craziness to map Pitts to 10 than it did CeeDee to 17. And it kind of feels like scenarios where Sewell goes #5, opens up paths to a Pitts fall, while Chase #5, opens paths to a Sewell fall. 1 hour ago, CAPJ said: Holland is going to be a stud. textaz03
Pitts would make this Offense really fun to watch. But again, would we be able to outscore opposing teams on a consistent basis without significantly upgrading this defense, especially on the back end? textaz03
The lack of top end Dline talent in this pool really sucks, cause that’s where we need the most help right now. unless they plan on making some FA additions post draft, I’m still really concerned about this Defense

I agree that Deablo has many similarities to Kam Chancellor. The height/weight measurables are basically identical. I think he’d make a great hybrid LB/SS in Quinn’s scheme, barring us not drafting JOK. I agree that the potential for them to fall is there for a variety of reasons, but I think Pitts being a unicorn at his position will keep him from falling. I hope he does, but I don’t think he will. And, if you recall, I predicted that Lamb could fall to us last year. I agree. Holland is nothing like Woodson. JOK is much more like him than Holland is.

SweetFancyMoses
So let's say Pitts falls to Detroit at #7. Would you be alright with offering #10 plus Gallup or #99 or #10 plus both Gallup and #99? Detroit did lose both their starting WR's, and would likely be able to draft one of the top 3 WR at 10.

No to Gallup plus additional compensation. I’m not even sure I’d make a trade offer at all, because Waddle and/or Smith will likely be available for Detroit to select, so we could gamble a bit on Pitts falling.
