He was stout vs the run here. He was just never sexy. If he has 4.5 sacks next year, we’re not having this conversation

He was always better than Chad thomas and zettel. It's not close.
candyman93
Brees is the greatest physically limited QB of all time. Just amazing.

He couldn’t defend the run ( he was awful at setting the edge) and his sack numbers got worst and worst. He didn’t look good here or in KC. Glad he found a home in Miami. Browns needed an upgrade from him. Just didn’t work out. There is no reason to play revisionist history be uses the Ogbah in Miami never even flashed here in Cleveland or KC Edited November 9, 2020 by buno67

He’d still put up fantastic numbers, but he’d be in the Phillip Rivers category.

But he doesn’t have the arm to be as dominate in the windy cold cities.
Bonanza23
Brady “the goat” out here making throws you guys would vilify Baker. I thought I was under the assumption perfect qbs make perfect throws perfectly all the time? 🤷🏼♂️

I think he would have earlier, but he would not have aged as well. Brees when he was in his late 20s/early 30s could deliver strikes. His arm strength has fallen off a cliff with age recently which is where if he played in a colder climate he might have retired 2-3 years ago.
