One of my favorite movies.

Andrew Garfield is so great in it. A lot of good acting in it..

As far as the score it is all good, but the Henley Boat Race Sequence is just awesome.

Hard to go wrong with 'In the Hall of the Mountain King'. 2.5 minutes of perfection from Grieg and a great twist on it from Reznor.

Saw X was better than expected.  The first part where we get to know John was good.  The people he targets and puts in traps were more than deserving of it.  And we know why these people are in the traps before they're in them   Usually we see someone in a trap then we know who they are and why they're in them.  Here, we know why they're in the traps before hand, especially the main villain, she was so spiteful.  But you really have to suspend disbelief when the twists and turns happen.  And since this takes place between Saw and Saw 2, we already know John and Amanda will live in this one.  This is one of the better entries, although that's not saying a lot.  6/10

The Killer on Netflix was ok.  Michael Fassbender is great in this, and David Fincher directs this very well as usual.  While it's a basic story: hitman botches a job, wife or girlfriend is beaten very badly, hitman goes on a revenge tear.  It's told differently.  For one thing, Fassbenders characters dialouge in 95% narration.  He says maybe 30 words to people thoughout the movie.  And for a 2 hour movie, this did feel longer than what it was.  Not a bad movie, might be better on a second viewing(maybe that's just me)  6/10

Shame on the academy for awarding The King's Speech over The Social Network in so many categories. The Social Network was the best film of the decade.

They were both snoozefests though. Not a single monster, alien or supernatural thing in either of them.

Also, Ladyhawke is so under appreciated.

Criminally underrated. It’s such a unique storytelling perspective. It manages to present an outstanding romance plot that’s relegated to a subplot as the antagonist isn’t involved in it, but stuck in the middle of it. Navigating the two characters separated by night and day. It manages to fully flesh out three characters while keeping 2/3 separated from each other, but all interconnected. It’s excellent and carries so much heart and humor intertwined.

This movie is like a microcosm of Rutger Hauer’s career. So underrated it’s not even funny.

If you haven’t seen LadyHawke, you really ought to watch it. Closest movies I would compare it to would be a mix between Dragonheart and The Princess Bride.

It is to the fantasy genre as Enemy
Mine is to the sci fi genre.
