They went 4-12 because Romo broke his collar bone and missed a ton of games. The year before with Romo they were 12-4

So a good quarterback is the difference between a 4 win team and an 11, 12 win team? The team was practically the same, and they go 12 wins with Romo, 4 wins with a much lesser QB, then 11 wins with a different good QB.

We have no foundation. There is no problem drafting a QB if hes actually good and worthy enough and if the foundations are in place that will put him in a much better place to succeed.

The QB is the foundation. We have enough for a QB to be successful. Look at these good young QBs around the NFL and their level of success with their surrounding cast. Burrow has weapons, but no OL and he is still succeeding. Herbert had the 32nd ranked OL overall last year and set basically every rookie QB record. We have the weapons on offense, at least for next year. We have a solid defense that can force turnovers and keep us in games. We have talented, young pieces dotted across the roster. We need to score more points. That falls on everyone, including the QB.

You guys will see, in the near future, WFT will have some very tough decisions to make. They have a bunch of talented, young players that they drafted whose rookie contracts are ending. They want to keep those players, but they can't compete in this league without a QB. They are severely limiting their window and their QB options. They won't have the cap space to sign or trade for and take on the contract of an established QB. They have to take their shots in the draft, and they consistently pick around 15 every year. If they take a shot at 15 and miss and invest 2 years into an evaluation, they are toast.

No the QB can be one of the foundation. It’s not the foundation because at end of the day majority of QBs success depends on what’s around them.

Burrow and Herbert were top 5 picks and worthy enough to be selected where they were. Burrow also has a top 10 running game and have you have seen Burrow struggle against any decent defense. Herbert has had his struggles this year too. Daniel Jones also had an encouraging rookie season too. We’ve always had weapons on offense or at least that not really been the issue. The issue has always been we don’t the line to run block or pass block. Too many 3rd and longs. And defensively there’s been inconsistency. The foundations aren’t in place for our team to be good and they aren’t in place for our QB to be successful. Not good enough pass blocking and run blocking is below par.

WFT are in a better position right now than us. They’re competing right now without a franchise QB. Heck they’re doing it with an undrafted one without Chase Young. Why? Because they have foundations in place to be competitive (not SB competitive but relatively speaking). Theyve got a line, a decent running game and when healthy a monster d-line to where they can put an undrafted QB there and somewhat keep them afloat. We aren’t and haven’t been competitive at all. Even before Eli declined in 2014 and 2015 we weren’t playoff contenders. There’s no QB out there we can realistically target is gonna change our fortunes, so you’re better off building around the team and should opportunity present itself go for a QB.

Is your problem with the methodology, or the QBs in the 2021 draft class?

Again, no need to stretch things here. Lets look at the offense of that team. Best offensive line in football, Hall of Fame Tight End, Top 10 Running Back, Top 10 Wideout.

Any decent QB given all of that is going to win 10 games. Does the Giants offense have any of that? Do they have any unit that is the best in football... no. Do they currently have anyone on offense that can be considered for the Hall of Fame... no. Do they have a top 10 running back or a top 10 wideout... no.  If we started this year with Dak as our QB instead of DJ this team is not winning 10 games because this offense suck and Dak while good is not elite.

Whelp guess we can move on. It'll be Judge and Jones again next season. Unfortunately I also think this means Abrams will be the new GM. Can only hope he absolutely nails the draft picks but considering he's the "salary cap guy"...

Wonder what they're going to do with all the empty space in MetLife Stadium next season. No way fans show up for another year of this.
