Prospects to keep an eye on..spring edition

Maybe the tweener guy we wanted, and in the 5th round or so.

Projected Round: Sixth

13. Cam Sample, Tulane

Size: 6-3, 267

The Good: Undersized but extremely quick, he’s a pass rusher and a factor in the backfield with 10.5 sacks, 20.5 tackles for loss and 163 stops in his four years or work. He might not be an elite athlete, but he’s got the skills to play inside as a smallish-fast option or on the end.

The Not-So-Good: A true tweener, he’s not quite as explosive as you might like for a player of his size, and he’s not bulky enough to hold up as a true NFL tackle. He’ll get blown up by the bigger next-level blasters.

NFL Draft College Perspective Thought: He’ll be a bit of a specialist, but he’ll fit someone’s scheme as a reliable, energetic option who can add a different look to a defensive interior and bring a play or two in the backfield.

Bucs head coach Bruce Arians said he "wouldn't be against" selecting a quarterback in the 2021 NFL Draft. “If the right guy is there that we think is a developmental guy that has the upside that outweighs every other position of those five or six guys that we’re looking at, then we wouldn’t be against it,” Arians said on a recent call with reporters.

Well this is a pleasant development from BA

He was everyone's favorite prospect at the Senior Bowl or something.

Starting to warm up to Jayson Oweh just not at 32. Extremely raw but if coached up properly might be a gem. Think he’s my 4th or 5th EDGE prospect. Not a guy who can come in and make an impact but by year 2 or 3 he could be a star.

Paye, Olujari, Ossai are my top 3

Phillips is a stud but i think those concussions will scare teams and push him down boards.

There are so many fringe 1st round guys this year, there's about 20 solid 1st round prospects and then after that everyone else are guys that could be picked In the late 20s to anywhere down to a late 2nd.

So it's rough picking late this year , I sure hope we can trade back and get some extra mid round picks.
