Stafford traded to the Rams for Goff, multiple FRPs

Goff and Dak are similar QBs

  • Goff is 40-22 with a 94.1 rating after his rookie year.
  • Dak is 29-24 with a 95.4 rating after his rookie year
    • I think they faced each other in a playoff game. How did that go?
  • Dalton is 18-31 with an 84.8 rating over the same time. 😄

Dalton was 12.3 rating points worse than Dak on the same team.

There is a Football IQ line and pretending Dalton is a decent QB puts someone well below that line.

I have to say I don't like this. Sean would be well within his right to say "well I'm excited to have a QB that doesn't lose me games despite my best effort at making it a favorable situation", IMO. Could be handled better but I give Sean a pass because he didn't draft Goff, did he.

Damn Jared.

JG held his tongue prior to the trade and never complained when Sean criticized him during the year. Sean and Les handled this poorly. I don't blame him for being fed up. And if Sean said that, he'd only end up making himself look petty and petulant.

Damn Jared.

Yeah but McVay or Snead could’ve at least gave him a heads up.

dude helped take the team to the SB and was the QB for the their top offenses

he at least deserved that

No they arent. Stop it. This is ridiculous.

  • Your flat out ignoral of circumstance is the most stupid thing you repeatedly do on this site.
    • Guess you dont care about coaching?
    • Guess you dont care about defense or special teams?
    • Guess you dont care about surround talent or health?
  • Your inclusion of the wrong metrics is dumb.
  • Your manipulation of stats is petty and obvious.

But you bringing up Dak in this thread is just a simple way to goad me into making you look bad, again. And out of respect to @ET80, I wont do it. Besides, no one with any football knowledge agrees with you. The only person I know that thinks that is Rammy. Which should be proof enough that what you are saying is moronic.

Both are above the Dalton line

The trade itself says other words.

The compensation says other words.

You are familiar with the Dalton line right? Because by definition, Goff is below it. Or at best, he teeters on it.

Considering the fact that Goff has appeared in a Super Bowl, has a 3-3 playoff record, and has three 90+ PR seasons and two 100+ PR seasons in four full years as a starter, it is laughable to claim he is below the "Dalton line."

Lets try this again:

  1. You are familiar with the Dalton line right?
  2. Because by definition, Goff is below it. Or at best, he teeters on it.

Start with #1.

Not even close. Matts just thinks he knows but he doesn’t know. Enjoy losing in a crap division... Daks cheeks.

Strong disagree on the assume about the picks.

  • The Rams are in a division where 4th would not be impossible next year.
  • They are an Aaron Donald injury from 6-10 (he is that good)
    • They are an Aaron Donald has been the best DT in the league for 6 years and he might fall off his peak from being an 8-8 or 9-7 type team.
  • They are a barren wasteland of high draft picks between Goff, this, and Ramsey.
  • They have to replace their edge rusher again.
  • Blythe at C is a free agent.
  • Whitworth turns 40 next December
  • Kupp has been hurt a bunch

The Rams might make the playoffs 2x in the next 2 years.

They might also go 6-10 with a few key injuries. (see the SB runner up SF 49ers for example)

NOTE: I said Rams should have high picks earlier in the thread.

I was using their logic, not mine.

They think he is the hero they need and they will compete for 2 Super Bowls now.

I am not so optimistic.

Kupp has been hurt a bunch?

Your Dak obsession is a literal joke on this site.

No one takes you seriously.

This Dalton crap is normal for you.

Its not even a hot take, its just you.

You worship Dak  (zzzzzzzzzzzz)

You hate Wentz and Goff (how original for a guy who loves his Dak)

You want to acknowledge Dak's rookie season and also pretend it was not his career high point in an otherwise blah .500ish record career with some huge stat games against really bad teams.

Its sad, but not in a crying way.

I am familiar with the Dalton line. I don't think you are. It sure seems like you don't understand what made the Dalton line the Dalton line.
