NBA 2020-21 Season - Game Day Thread (Bring Back The Wolf Pit!)

Like seriously what have the Jazz accomplished in the playoffs to put faith in them?

Nobody is taking the Jazz serious till they can prove something when it counts.

They've been a really good regular season team this year, but that matters none when it comes to the playoffs just ask @beekay414. Sorry bruh... Bucks are just a good recent example of playing hard and racking up wins in the regular season.

Every team at this stage is vulnerable enough to be beat in a 7 game series.

Also, assuming things stay the way they are rn. The Jazz have the easiest path to the Finals. First round against the Warriors or Grizzlies/Spurs most likely, then Nuggets (without Murray/other guards banged up) or Mavs/Blazers. Won't face a tough test until the WCF assuming they make it which would be most likely the Clippers, Suns, or Lakers. If the Jazz don't at least make the WCF this year they should be embarrassed.

Speaking on Celtics/Lakers, I'll never forget the first year they played in the Finals. IIRC it was 2010 and our HS coaches during the summer preached to us "don't let them play Rondo defense on you, if you get the ball be aggressive." 🤣

wut?

Celtics feel like they're going to be stuck in no mans land forever, unless they nail a late round pick. I love Tatum and Brown, and want them to Celtics for life, but it feels like they've gotten further and further away from actually contending.

Not sure where they go from here.

Problem is the Celtics are a homegrown team who need one more big talent. Kyrie failed. Kemba can be that guy but not consistently. Meanwhile, the rest of the league is just building super teams with established players. Danny started it.

Jazz last two postseasons have been first round exits and in the last 4 playoffs their combined win/loss is 11-21.

Like what are we talking about here?

If they actually show up this year, then cool, but that is TBD.

The Lakers won an AAU tournament at Disney World and are on the verge of not even making the playoffs in 2/3 years with LeBron, lmao. Imagine signing the best player on the planet, trading for another superstar, and being a borderline playoff team. Lakers baby.

Two matchups since the 1980's, stop living in the past, two borderline playoff teams in 2021. Bought other teams stars, made trades for max contract players, can barely make the playoffs. lol
