Kyle is 24-9 with Jimmy which is actually a better winning percentage than what McVay has with Goff. Again, context. The Rams traded 2 1st rounders for Stafford The 49ers traded 3 1st rounders for one of Fields/Lance/Jones Both have head coaches with the same offensive philosophy. Both lost the SB back to back. Both got tired of their average QB and went bold to get better. The teams are mirror images of each other in a lot of ways

Jimmy G being hurt in 3/4 years played a big part in that. But it was also Lynch and Shanahan's decision to give him a 5 yr/$137M contract when he only had 7 career starts. Lynch and Shanahan are praised as geniuses and the only reason they've "lost" is because Jimmy G has been hurt. But they were the ones that invested into him without even a full season under his belt as an NFL starter.
49erurtaza
Also McVay went to the perfect situation the Rams had talent all over. Kyle had to rebuild one of the worst rosters in the league at the time. Of course the rams will have a better record.

Nobody in their right mind will dispute that. Other than that, I don't know of many people who have given them the genius moniker

But as an offensive guru that has an injury prone QB, wouldn't you invest some resources into a decent backup?

We can talk alot about not picking ever part of the roster. End of the day Kyle is a good coach he isn't perfect and same with how the front office has made mistakes but also have big hits. Before heath became an issue he helped them get to a SB. 2 minutes ago, NYRaider said: Yeah, Jimmy G being hurt does. Who are they supposed to get to smoothly transition into a starter if he went down?
