craig Posted May 4, 2021 Share Posted May 4, 2021 Thanks for roster projections, friends. Helpful to see and get a feel for where the competitions might be. Raymond, I think yours looks really good. I'd add Lancaster back into the DL? I'd guess maybe 6 guys there, wih Clark-Lowry-Keke-Lancaster locks. Stanton, Previlon, and vet pickup could compete for spots 5+6. Stanton obviously has PS capacity. Think OL could go with 9, perhaps without the TBD vet. I'd guess Newman would be a yes; usually a guy as high as 4th round wouldn't go PS. But Stepaniak might very well be a good PS guy? Bakhti might perhaps not be on roster at start either, maybe? DB, who knows. Jean-Charles, he could go PS. Samuels could go back to PS. I'd think VanLanen seems like pure practice squad to me; and Stepaniek looks to me like an easy practice-squad guy, too, unless he looks really good in camp. I'm not a huge fan of stocking the roster with many 6th/7th round OL who aren't going to play at all; and who have no ST function, unless they look so good as a future-starter that you can't risk losing them. It is the unit that could make us much better if it could get even 20% better (hard to quantify, I know). I think, like PR’s 53, that we bring in a vet who will hopefully add to the soup. Keke continuing to grow and Lowry playing like it’s a contract year that it likely is, I’m hoping we get a decent rotation there. I hope Slaton shows something but rookie DL usually need some seasoning. Add the Smiths and Gary to sub in certain packages and I’m slightly optimistic.
