Meh, they aren't making the jump without CJ. They need another playmaker next to Lillard. Team is just stuck.

Meh, they aren't making the jump with CJ so I guess they could just keep running it back for 3 more years.

LIS they are stuck. CJ is a good player, but he's not getting the type of return that will be a game changer. So then what? Unless they get another playmaker in return along with a pick or a defender, what is really going to change?

They are the worst defensive team in the league. Trading CJ will make them go from worst to what, 24th? The offense will drop some and you are back being a first round exit.

Dame is too prideful to ask for a trade but it's not looking good for him.

So proud of this team, man. The 4th Q Defense came out of nowhere. Jokic did MVP things down the stretch, but Monte Morris was the reason we won this game.

So composed in the two man game and some huge buckets in the non-Jokic minutes whilst MPJ was struggling.

This season is without doubt a success regardless now, given circumstance.

More than if they just run it back.

Maybe they can get Simmons from Philadelphia.

I just want Memphis to trade for McCollum.

Totally forgot JaMychal Green, who was HUGE last night. +22 and he actually finished the game.

MPJ said after the game he told Malone to leave Green in .......

Oh wow, you think they can get Simmons for CJ? If so, then that's definitely something they need to look into.

What would the Memphis package look like?

There's no way in hell we (Philadelphia) make this trade. We don't need yet another SG that sometimes marauds as a PG.

Portland is just proof that it is v v v difficult to build a great team in the NBA. You look at that track record and you can't really be THAT critical. The Collins over other studs is probably the most glaring error.

It just is great evidence that what the Nuggets have done is SPECIAL. SPECIAL!!!! You just don't see this very often in the NBA. It is such a bummer what happened with the injuries, but to see the culture that has been built come through to one (and possibly more) playoff series wins this year is awesome.

Jokic is probably the best player in the NBA. Rope a doped them last night. Pummeled them into the fetal position. They had to take Nurk off him down the stretch, LMAO, straight white flag.

It was Portland's time. I had a good feeling that it was written. There is no way you should win a playoff series in the west with FACU CAMPAZZO and AUSTIN RIVERS (both played well) as your starting guards. But Jokic is just different man.

I highly doubt it unless they can turn it into a 3-team deal where they get a solid starting PG as well. But if Philadelphia loses to Atlanta or gets bumrushed by Brooklyn or Milwaukee then maybe they'd finally be looking for a change like Portland should be.

Memphis would be willing to part with 2 of Kyle Anderson, Tyus Jones, and Justice Winslow (Portland's choice of which 2), 1 of De'Anthony Melton or Dillon Brooks (also Portland's choice), and 2-3 1sts: 2022 1st (better of the 2 between Memphis and Utah), 2024 Memphis 1st, and 2024 Golden State 1st.

Brandon Clarke, Grayson Allen, Xavier Tillman, and Desmond Bane would also all be available in this trade. The framework of the players would really be up to Portland. Just nothing out of hand like a 5-for-1 player swap and the picks. If Portland insisted on both Melton and Brooks, then we'd keep Jones and Bane for sure. Also 1 of those 1sts would be off the table if they got both Melton and Brooks.

you don't want to do that. memphis is building something great. you don't need a bum defender, non-star, next to Ja

We're stuck right now if we don't make a trade because no one is signing as a FA and none of the young talent outside of Ja and JJJ (and he has some serious defensive and injury concerns) has the potential to be more than solid role players. Need a better perimeter running mate than Dillon Brooks and have extra picks and young talent to throw at someone in a trade.

I want to be patient...but I've been here before as a Grizzlies fan. Utah and Denver did show that patience can pay off, though. Only so much time before our young guys need to get paid or traded out of here. I'm so conflicted.
