Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa has fractured ribs; Missing game vs. Raiders

the raiders have exactly 2 wins with more than a 10 point margin since Gruden took over at the start of the 2018-2019 season... but this one is looking ripe to be a third

i dont think brissett is much worse than Tua in a vacuum, but behind this OL, a guy who holds the ball as long as brissett does is going to have a bad day

RT (Jesse Davis) is late off the snap, AJ Epenesa just goes right by him untouched. He hits Tua, lands directly on him and knocks him out the game.

Through two games, we have the absolute worst Oline in football. Brissett coming in to replace Tua also got rocked all game long. Crosby going to have a field day

I mean...you guys had Sewell staring right at you, or Slater....

Pretty easy to say in hindsight but yeah, its frustrating. The Oline was much better last year than it has been this year even though most of the starters remain the same. Don't think anyone could've predicted the three rookies who started last year would regress that much after one offseason. To me this screams poor coaching/development and a lack of preparedness more than it speaks about talent.

Jackson - 1st round in 2020

Kindley - 4th round in 2020

Dieter - 3rd round in 2019

Hunt - 2nd round in 2020

Eichenberg - 2nd round in 2021

Its not like they've ignored the unit.

The Dolphins will be very energized, as a road team coming off a defeat. It is certainly a far superior situational spot for Miami than last week, when they were facing a talented team that was on the road after a loss. Fans and media are forever too preoccupied with subjectively nitpicking personnel and matchups while ignoring the motivational realities that dictate intensity and performance level.

Dolphins vs Raiders is the essence of Crowd vs Crowd. Two middle tier teams and now the home team is mostly anointed as 4 point favorite solely due to perception of the first two weeks. If perception had gone the other way the game would be pick-em range. That's what makes Crowd vs Crowd so breathtaking season after season. The overreaction to recency will never cease. It doesn't work every time. Far more often than not.

its a better spot for miami to be on the road than at home? sure what you're making it sound like.

and the 3.5 spread isn't wild at all lol. for teams that would be equal on a neutral field, the home field advantage usually nets 3 points. they're basically saying the raiders are 0.5 points better than the dolphins, which isn't wildly controversial.

So under the new rules about driving a QB to the ground, how isn't this a penalty?
