Texansfan713
Not a surprise. He was awful for the Texans. Hopefully Burkhead gets more carries than David Johnson the rest of the season. Texans really need to upgrade the position this offseason.

He needs to go play in a zone blocking scheme ala SF/MIN/CLE to really take advantage of his one cut and burst ability. I am not shocked that splitting carries with Johnson, Ingram and whoever else behind a horrible OL didn't work out. I still have faith that Lindsay can be a really good 1B type of RB if he goes to the correct team and system. Because of his abilities he is the type of RB that needs the right fit. AkronsWitness
Side note, maybe the Texans need to reevaluate some things. Their system/coaching is one that took Johnson who was really good in ARI and made him horrible, Lindsay who was really good in DEN and made him horrible and Ingram who was really good in BAL and made him horrible. Granted that is probably a little aggressive, but the point is each one of those guys clearly have talent and whatever they do over there turned them into unrosterable. Not wrong about Houston needing to re-do things, but Ingram and Johnson looked washed before going to play for the Texans.
lomaxgrUK
You can't be his size and offer nothing in the passing game. Lindsay's blocking is awful and I've no idea how he's managed to go backwards as a receiver, when he was never even average in that regard. When he's in the game, the Offense becomes much more predictable because of the amount of the playbook he simply can't execute. If you're Adrian Peterson with the ball in your hands, you can stick around in the NFL with that skillset. Phil clearly isn't. I am sure he does already, but he has absolutely dedicate his entire offseason to running routes and firstly, learning how to catch a Football.

No real argument on reevaluating the coaching staff (it's horrible) but Johnson looked cooked his last year in Arizona, Lindsey looked cooked his last year in Denver and Ingram looked cooked his last year in Baltimore. Don't look now, but Rex Burkhead looks cooked - just like he did last year in New England. The Texans were trying to take broken players and rejuvenate them, and it failed miserably. Trojan
Rams is the best fit imo He'd be third, but insurance to Henderson. If Henderson were to miss time he'd be the one cut shiftier option to Michel's power.
