Bears fans claim they want the franchise to change. They claim they want a great QB. They claim they want a Super Bowl contender. But they'll justify signing expensive defenders while carrying water for a regime that refuses to spend on the OL. It's almost like this team's fans get exactly what they want. And every 4 years, when things go wrong, they blame Ted and George, the team hires some new characters, and the cycle repeats with hopes renewed. I'm not sure if it can be summed up any better. Ty21
Saw the Ryan Griffin signing so I came here hoping to see people saying he’s a can’t miss almost elite talent

Tavon Young on the other hand is an excellent pick up on a 1 year low risk high reward deal...when healthy he is only of the best slot CBs in all of football...we still need depth behind him given the injury history but that moves makes a ton of sense and could pay off big. Madmike90
Even after the ACL he still have explosiveness and suddenness which is key for a NB...2nd year removed from that ACL this might be my favourite signing.

But I am done giving benefit of doubt to this franchise and cheerleading any and all moves or lack thereof with rose colored glasses. We hired a really young first time GM, a first time defensive HC and a first time play caller. Again. Have success and I will cheer it. If we waste most talented Bears QB in my lifetime I will not be happy.

WindyCity
Tavon Young is a nice signing. He was one of the better NBs in the league before his ACL, 2 years out we will see if he is 100% back. Should hopefully solidify NB.

Seems like Poles is willing to bring on guys who've come back from injury. Bet he would have loved 2017 Allen Robinson! Should we write in Pickens in pen at 39? AZBearsFan
Big fan of the Young signing. He seems to be exactly what Flus targets at NB. And with another 1-year deal it seems another piece for potential applicability in the long term comp pick game. Griffin signing is fine but not a needle mover. As a TE2 he’s fine. Solid hands with some RZ value but won’t stretch the field for you. FWIW haven’t seen any of the main beat guys confirm these signings yet.
